Job Brief
- A fashion Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the production, distribution, and logistics of a fashion company's products. This may include managing inventory levels, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring that orders are fulfilled in a timely and accurate manner.
Job Responsibilities

- Developing and implementing strategies to optimize production and supply chain processes
- Managing budgets and controlling costs associated with production and logistics
- Monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and drive operational efficiency
- Overseeing the development and implementation of new products or collections
- Collaborating with design and production teams to ensure that products are developed and produced efficiently and to the highest quality standards
- Managing the production schedule and coordinating with various departments to ensure that all necessary tasks are completed on time
- Identifying and implementing new technologies and systems to improve efficiency and productivity
- Collaborating with the finance team to prepare and manage budgets and financial projections
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the production and logistics processes
- Coordinating with the marketing and sales teams to develop and implement promotional campaigns and sales strategies
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to production, inventory, and logistics
- Collaborating with the customer service team to resolve any issues or concerns related to orders or shipments
- Monitoring and analyzing market trends and consumer behavior to inform production and distribution decisions
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key customers and partners
- Participating in industry events and networking opportunities to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices
- Providing regular reports and updates to senior management on the status of production, logistics, and inventory
- Negotiating contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other partners
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key suppliers and vendors
- Analyzing market trends and customer data to inform production and distribution decisions
- Hiring, training, and managing a team of employees or contractors
- Coordinating with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and finished goods
- Overseeing warehouse and distribution operations, including the selection and management of third-party logistics providers
- Managing inventory levels and forecasting future demand to ensure sufficient stock levels
- Collaborating with the sales and marketing teams to develop and implement promotions and campaigns
- Communicating with customers and partners to resolve any issues or concerns related to orders or shipments
- Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
- In terms of regulations, a fashion Operations Manager may be responsible for ensuring that the company's production and distribution operations comply with relevant laws and regulations, such as labor laws, environmental regulations, and safety standards.
- They may also need to ensure that the company's products meet quality and safety standards and are properly labeled and packaged.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management or any other related field. A Master's Degree is an added advantage.
- A minimum of 2 years work experience in the same or similiar roles
- Hardworking and Creative
- Ability to manage a team of fashion designers and oversee the daily operations of the company.
- Good computer skills - eg Microsoft office, excel and powerpoint.
