Job Description

  • As a Tailoring Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing daily operations within the tailoring department.
  • You will work closely with designers, tailors, and quality control staff to ensure every piece aligns with our standards for quality and precision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and Manage Team: Lead, train, and manage a team of tailors, assigning tasks, and monitoring performance.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all garments meet the company’s quality standards; inspect for consistency, fit, and finishing.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in production processes and implement best practices to increase efficiency.
  • Resource Management: Coordinate fabric, trims, and other supplies needed for production; ensure minimal waste.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide technical support and guidance to tailors, especially on complex designs or alterations.
  • Collaboration with Design Team: Work closely with designers to understand project requirements and timelines.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure the tailoring department adheres to all safety and cleanliness protocols.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in tailoring, garment production, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in garment construction, pattern making, and sewing techniques.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong ability to lead a team, provide constructive feedback, and foster a positive work environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with a strong eye for quality and precision.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communicator, able to work collaboratively with team members and other departments.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to quickly address and resolve issues that may arise in the production process.

Salary
N150,000 Monthly.
