Job Title: Order Operations Manager
Job Location: Lagos
Role Summary/Purpose
- Leads the HCS Order Management team in the Africa Zone to execute on Customers Orders.
- This team manager is responsible for all aspects of the backlog execution, from order entry to customer acceptance & revenue recognition through equipment ordering from plants & suppliers and coordination of the whole order management cycle.
Essential Responsibilities
- The Zone OOM is a member of the EAGM OM leadership team, with direct management of the Order Management Specialists (aka PjMs), Demo Specialists or Inventory Specialists dedicated to the Zone.
- Success in this role will include delivering on transactions execution across the business - through adoption and drive of the defined operating mechanisms - & collaborating effectively with the various stakeholders (Commercial, GSC FF & Logistics, HPM, Comm Ops, Finance, Service, S&OP, Op Exc, etc.) with the objective to always maximize Customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities/essential functions include
- Responsible for Order Management excellence & quality in the Zone with continuous alignment to business goals
- Staff member of EMEA OTR, with expectations for excellent partnership with other operating teams and CoE's, partnering to drive Order Operations excellence in EAGM
- Critical business partner to the Zone leadership team by reaching the required business outcomes, including backlog execution efficiency, predictability of cycle times, finished goods inventory management
- Driving operational rigor & standard process adoption in the Zone in order to stabilize & reduce cycle times, improve service quality and reduce costs - Optimally allocating resources & managing operating costs in order to ensure that sufficient and optimal capability, capacity, scalability and backlog operational controls are in place to fulfill commitments
- Building & strengthening communication & collaboration with GSC Fulfillment, Logistics & Service - Driving a highly collaborative culture, which encourages effective partnership across functional and geographic boundaries to deliver on business imperatives
- Driving a culture of quality & ensuring total Compliance to business and process regulations including order booking & revenue recognition
- Major KPIs: Leadtime compliance - Revenue & Deals predictability - Inventory Turns - OTR Base costs - Execution cycle times (FG CyT variability, order entry CyT).
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years' experience in sales, management and or operations
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence a team within a large, complex and matrixed organization
- Ability to influence and collaborate with senior level management team
- Experience leading or managing projects of various size, duration and scope
- Ability to translate strategy into business objectives
- Executive level presentation skills
- Coaching and mentoring experience
- Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
- Reliable, responsive, attentive to detail
- Action and results-oriented Quality Specific Goals:
- Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.
- Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.
- Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
- Preference will be given to EE candidates.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Desired Characteristics:
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, able to mobilize teams to achieve - Team management experience.
- Skill sets and experience in OTR processes or in Supply Chain, with an experience in driving Six Sigma or Lean projects
- Ability to effectively manage time & KPIs, prioritize work, multi-task across many assignments & delegate, build improvement plans & execute.
