Purple Pulp - One of our clients, a high profile Christian School in the Ikeja area of Lagos is seeking the services of suitably qualified candidate to fill the position below:

Job Title: Art Teacher

Job Location: Lagos

Job Responsibilities
The preferred candidate must be able to:
 

  • Use appropriate teaching and classroom management strategies to motivate pupils and enable each to progress.
  • Teach knowledge and skills in art, including drawing, painting, lettering, and art history,
  • Provide instruction by which students develop aesthetic concepts and appreciations and the ability to make qualitative judgments about art.
  • Demonstrate techniques in activities such as drawing and painting.
  • Know and can apply elements of design and modern principles of art.
  • Know the fundamentals and different approaches to drawing technique.
  • Provide individual and small-group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of students with varying intellectual and artistic abilities, and to accommodate a variety of instructional activities.
  • Instruct students in proper care and use of tools and equipment.
  • Evaluate each student’s performance and growth in knowledge and aesthetic understandings, and prepare progress reports.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Minimum of first Degree in Education.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in similar role. Especially in a School with an established track record of steady growth and development.
  • Ability to work effectively and communicate distinctly with children.
