Associate Counsel - Corporate Commercial

Responsibilities

The role will involve successful candidates working with other associates in the corporate commercial team.
You will be required to think creatively, laterally and commercially- balancing rules, regulations, risks, client interests and revenues.

Qualifications/Requirements

A Law graduate from reputable University with at least a 2.1
(LL.B and BL) LL.M Degree is an added advantage
Minimum of 3 years corporate commercial law experience (for position 2
Experience in general commercial advisory work, company secretarial, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, corporate finance, syndicated loans, real estate law (for position 2 above)
Ability to grasp quickly and accurately new and complex concepts and areas of law (essential)
Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team (essential)
Ability to balance priorities and co-ordinate work effectively in order to meet deadlines and deal with high workload. (essential)
Excellent written and oral communication skills (essential)
Ability to deliver training to other colleagues (desirable).
Candidates should have modem liberal outlook, be culturally aware, well-spoken and well presented.

Job Title: Associate Counsel - Litigation / Arbitration

Job Location: Abuja, Lagos
 

 Responsibilities

  • The role will involve successful candidates working closely with other associates in the Litigation/Arbitration team on a broad range of commercial subjects.
  • You will be required to swiftly analyze and execute legal strategy in disputes from complex disputes of significant value.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • A Law graduate from reputable University with at least a 2.1
  • (LL.B and BL) LL.M Degree is an added advantage
  • Minimum of 4 years of strong litigation experience.
  • Experience in handling their own commercial litigation files.
  • Ability to grasp quickly and accurately new and complex concepts and areas of law (essential)
  • Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team (essential)
  • Ability to balance priorities and co-ordinate work effectively in order to meet deadlines and deal with high workload. (essential)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (essential)
  • Ability to deliver training to other colleagues (desirable).
  • Candidates should have modem liberal outlook, be culturally aware, well-spoken and well presented.
