Personal Assistant
Job Location: Lagos
Working from the head office in Lagos, you will be acting as a core support to the Managing Director.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinating meeting arrangements
- Handling external communications and correspondence
- Maintain good filing systems for smooth data retrieving
- Build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, clients and industry figures
- Coordinate functions
- Ad hoc administrative duties
Qualifications:
- University degree
- At least, three years working experience in a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English Language
- Proficiency in the use of MS Suite, especially Excel and Word
- We are looking for someone who is extremely organized, efficient and resilient. Ideally, you will have previous PAexperience and knowledge of the shipping industry. English will be your first language, but French and
- other languages would be beneficial.
- As part of this role, you will sometimes travel internationally alongside the MD and be in receipt of a very generous remunerations package.
Human Resource Manager
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Staff recruitment- Developing job descriptions, person specifications,
- Developing and implementing HR policies
- Managing staff benefit and compensation
- Managing the staff health scheme
- Organizing and coordinating internal and extemal employee trainings
- Create and maintain staff records
- Liaise with the staff and unions of issues of common interest
- Conflict management
- Relates with government agencies on statutory issues relating to employees
Qualifications:
- B. Sc (Social Sciences/Management)
- Minimum of Diploma in Human Resource or Personnel Management
- Higher degree in Management is an advantage
- Membership of the CIMP
Skill Requirements:
- Good communication skill
- Ability to establish and maintain good relationship with people at various levels and different nationalities
- Ability to use HR packages like NAVISION
- Good at conflict management
- Relates with government agencies on statutory issues relating to employees
- The Human Resource Manager would report to the Managing Director while the Human Resource Officer would report to the Human Resource Manager.
