Data Analyst

Overview
The Data Analyst will primarily be responsible for collecting, compiling, interpreting, analyzing, and managing project/program specific data and generating related reports which measure projects and programs of eHealth Africa using specialized statistical computer software. S/he will work collaboratively with the research & evaluation team to prepare detailed reports to meet internal and external requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned:
Offer timely analytical support in collecting, compiling, interpreting, and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data using standard practices & techniques; provide statistical support using Excel, SPSS, STATA, R or other specialized applications to validate data, perform statistical modeling, forecasting, and trend analysis.
Responsible for providing support in maintaining a complete and accurate database of all project/program relevant data collected from working with various eHealth Africa (EHA) teams; including performing data entry, cleaning, analysis and interpretation of quantitative and qualitative data sets across all EHAs projects.
Serve as support on projects that have a pre-dominant statistics component; working with the managers & coordinators to determine data requirements, select appropriate study designs, design data collection methods, interpret study results, write reports, present graphs, etc.
Responsible for ensuring that all data is kept secure in compliance with EHA’s policies and procedures regarding data security, data confidentiality, and data protection.
Follow documented procedures so that reports are delivered consistently and correctly; maintain process documentation so that results are clear, complete, and up-to-date.
Responsible for performing any other duty as assigned by management.
May frequently travel between company worksites.

Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree from college or university in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or Science-related field.Minimum of Three years of experience in data analysis, quantitative and qualitative research methods, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills, organizational skills, and great attention to detail. Must possess relevant technical expertise with recognized data analysis, monitoring, and evaluation methods, preferably in public health programs. Very strong report writing and problem solving skills. Must have the ability to manage conflicts and resolve problems effectively. Good learning ability. Action oriented and resilient in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications and Licenses
First Aid and Health & Safety qualifications desirable.
Computer Skills
Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite. Expert Proficiency working with specialized tools and applications used for creation of datasets, data cleaning, management & analysis, such as SAS, Stata, EpiInfo, SPSS, R, etc. including writing and executing queries, and managing complex databases.
Language Ability
English is the spoken and written language
Ability to read, analyze and interpret data, general business periodicals, professional journals, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees and the general public.

Project Coordinator

Summary: The Project Coordinator provides functional and administrative support to the Vaccine Direct Delivery project staff on assigned projects. Coordinates and oversees specific functions and project activities. Anticipates staff and project needs to ensure smooth operations. Provides timely updates to internal and external stakeholders.

Communicates effectively with eHA team members and partnering organisations to establish trust and promote eHA’s core values of ethics and integrity
Supports the Project Manager, Supervisor, and Team Members on major projects, including planning, administrative, and maintaining project documentation.
Serves as the daily point of contact from project initiation to completion, including attending meetings with relevant stakeholders and partners.
Assists with performance evaluation. Provides weekly and monthly progress reports/logs against monthly delivery targets and schedules.
Communicates relevant information to all team members, regarding schedule and project requirements, including changes.
Oversees and allocates equipment, including secure storage, assignments and receipt, sorting and logging in and out of the office and field.
Inventories supplies and ensures the staff have adequate supplies to support projects.
Manage Team Deployment - keep track of Staff deployment location and Update Google sheet(s) on field activities.
Assists in preparing device, ODK Phones and Tablets.
Assists with field data collection verification and reconciliation.
Communicates relevant information to all team members, regarding schedule and project requirements, including changes.
Responsible for performing any other duty as assigned by Management.

Project Team Member

Summary: The Project Team Member (TM) completes specific functional tasks in the office and the field for assigned projects. Provides proactive support to other departmental/project staff. Delivers services with utmost professionalism and in a timely manner. The TM may progressively work cross-functionally within eHealth Africa’s project teams to support the organisation’s strategic goals. The TM consistently follows the “Super Seven” Team Member guidelines.

Works closely with partnering organisations, providing specific training, guidance and coaching, as needed, to ensure successful outcomes towards assigned goals.
Completes daily project and/or field reports by downloading and submitting data to the Project Coordinator.
Identifies areas for improvement in project and/or field work and brings to the attention of Project Coordinator and Supervisor. As directed, ensures that appropriate corrective actions are taken in a timely manner, including review and update of eHA processes, materials and equipment. Assists in upgrading and installing new software.

NOTE: Overtime and weekend work is highly possible and may be expected in order to perform the essential functions of the position. Hours fluctuate throughout the year with the busiest times during the summer months and seven-day workweeks highly possible. Requires ability to travel to job sites. Availability, willingness and flexibility to travel outside assigned site area for periods lasting as long as 3-4 days at a time. Such out-of-town travel may be necessary as often as every six weeks or eight times per year. Travel accommodations and per diem will be provided for out-of-town assignments.Overnight travel is necessary throughout Nigeria.
