RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Marketing and Planning.
Co-leading (with Program) the coordination of the Program, Marketing and Client Relations activities
Leading the development and delivery of the strategic marketing plans - based on stakeholder insights as well as category and competitive data.. Plan should include strategies for volume and market growth
Leading the creation of demand-driving marketing programs to create business growth (including all marketing messaging). Identifying ways to maximize market demand and in-market success
Appropriately positioning brands while taking risk mitigation and market opportunities into consideration
Ensuring that the voice of the customer and market insight become an integral part of the business strategy and market prioritization
Sales and Client Relations
Working in collaboration with Strategic Advisors, Program and Government Relations partners to set strategic direction that drives brand and product preference among states and other key audiences
Understanding key needs of states and key audiences as input to shape strategic direction for Strategic Advisors and Client Relations Directors
Working with Strategic Bidding and Scoping, Program, and others on the development of Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs )
Ensuring the text is driven by market insights
Developing claims for use in RFPs / RFI                                                                                                                                                                       Allocating and managing the Marketing budget - securing additional resources for potential opportunities and relinquishing resources when appropriate.
Helping to ensure effective communication
Financial Management

Required Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field of study or equivalent combination of work and education.                                              3-5 years of business, brand management and/or marketing (or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired) is necessary                                                                                                                                                                              Ability to monitor project expenses vs. cost estimates is required
Ability to discuss legal and contractual matters as they relate to execution of communication tactics is preferred
Ability to discuss technical matters as they relate to execution of communication tactics is preferred
Fully proficient in MS Office Suite, MS Project
Excellent communications skills required, including oral, writing, editing, and proofreading
Experience in creating clear, concise summary reports is preferred
Ability to coordinate activities both within Brand Marketing and with our clients
