Fosad Consulting Limited - Our client, a key player in the telecoms industry, providing best-in- class network solutions and security services and maintains end-to-end network infrastructure for telecommunications (Wireless telecommunications Managed Services) to Cellular Operators, and 3rd party Network providers including industrial/commercial security is seeking to hire an experienced candidates that will ensure and carry out negotiations and reviews of prices are carried out in favourable terms to the organisation to achieve savings, to fill the position of:

Position : Head, Procurement

Job Description
The Head, Procurement Officer will report directly to Chief Legal Officer and will have the following direct reports:

Procurement Supervisor
Procurement & Logistics Coordinator
Procurement Analyst
Procurement Accountant

Purpose

To design, develop and review policies, processes and procedure (PPP) in line with world class procurement best practices.
Implement the use of Procurement &Logistics PPP for efficient implementation of policies to ensure reduction in turn-around time.
To provide direction for the Procurement & logistics department.
To coordinate and oversee team members’ compliance to policies, processes and procedures.
To ensure and carry out negotiations and reviews of prices are carried out in favourable terms to the organisation to achieve savings.
To provide direction and guidance to the subordinate staff.

Qualifications

First Degree in Business-related discipline or Engineering.
Post-graduate qualification in business-related discipline
Professional certification in Purchasing and Supply chain Management or Logistics and supply Chain Management
Minimum of 13 years post-graduation work experience in a reputable establishment, out of which 6 years must have been spent in procurement preferably in a telecom environment
3 years supervisory/managerial capacity.

Knowledge and Experience and Skills Required

Planning and Budgeting skills
Planning and Organising skills
Procurement Management skills
Supplier Management skills
Proficiency in the use of basic Microsoft Office Suite Applications.

Communications and Working Relationship:

Main Internal Contacts: All departments within the company.
Main External Contacts: All suppliers, competitors, industries in similar operations.
