Role Summary/Purpose
- The Channel Director will work with the Africa Regional, Modality and Global Teams to drive growth of his/her assigned channel and GEHC product portfolio, drive financial results, ensure compliance and be accountable for keeping the risk profile within the region norms and standards as well as driving channel effectiveness.
- He/She will collaborate with Region and Global P&Ls to determine opportunities available for alternative distribution channels.
Essential Responsibilities
Financial performance:
- Develop and execute GEHC Africa channel strategy & initiatives, business planning and forecasting for alternative channel segments
- Responsible for growth, coverage and penetration of the end user market within the channel segment
Channel Effectiveness:
- Apply methodology to drive and monitor channel effectiveness and improvement initiatives
- Apply global standards, programs and create Op Mechs for performance reviews
- Share standards, best practices and capabilities across the GEHC P&L's and other GE Business
- Work with the Africa LCT GMs and Modality leaders to define the GEHC Region channel structure, enhance the utilization of existing channels with a view to integrate and simplify where appropriate, help formulate strategies for identifying, developing and managing new channels by leveraging synergies across P&L teams
- Coordinate across P&L's and ensure effectiveness of recruitment, onboarding and management of channels
Compliance:
- Work with the CEO/Region/Zone, P&L and commercial excellence leaders to define appropriate coverage model for the region. Identify channel competitive landscape by region/zone and work with the partners/channel managers to develop and execute strategic response
- Managing and developing the channel management team across the P&L's in GEHC Region.
- Cultivating long-term relationship with strategic channel partners to support business growth.
- Responsible for cross P&L/Sales Team conflicts monitoring and developing rules of engagement
- Compliance
- Create a culture of highest integrity and compliance within channels.
- Enforce global compliance standards, perform rigorous due diligence on channels and oversee compliance audit programs
- Maintain region risk profile within accepted standards
- Leading Channel Development:
- Identify key segments, initiatives, territories and product lines for region to help drive effective and efficient Go-to-market strategy and team structure
- Adhere to and uphold highest standards of compliance to relevant international and local Regulatory and GE Healthcare Promotional Codes
- Adhere to GE and GE Healthcare compliance policies, codes and training requirements
- Quality Specific Goals
- Be aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.
- Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
- Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required.
- Maintain knowledge of and understand all applicable Global Privacy and Anti-Competition Policies (including but not limited to GE Healthcare HIPPA Guidelines, NEMA Regulations, etc.) and operate within them to ensure that no company policy or Local/ Int'l Law is broken.
- Maintain knowledge of and understand all applicable Environmental Health Policies (including but not limited to GE Healthcare EHS Policies, GE Healthcare Fleet Rules, etc.) and operate within them to ensure that no company policy or local / Int'l Law is broken.
- Drive continuous improvement on all related processes, work instructions, and procedures to ensure ongoing standardization and simplification of the Quality Management System.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Strong executive presence with exceptional ability to present to C-suite level decision makers

- Bachelor's Degree or above.
- At least 7 years experience in Healthcare related sales or marketing management
- Demonstrated experience and success in the management of alternative sales channels
- Direct and/or indirect leadership experience
- Customer focused mindset with proven ability to respond quickly to internal and external customer needs
- Ability to build rapport, energize and influence people
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Desired Characteristics:
- Proven senior level success in managing sales channels of multiple products in Healthcare equipment sales and flow business sales
- Experienced strategic leadership skills
- Strong expertise in local Healthcare Legislation and regulations
- MBA desirable, ability to analyze business models
