Position: Program Director
The Role
- The Program Director is responsible for developing and maintaining the effectiveness, strategic direction and sustenance of YGF; furthering its goals and broadening its financial and donor support base.
- The Program Director shall report directly to, and serve as secretary to the Council.
Responsibilities
The major areas of responsibilities are:
- People and performance management.
- Fundraising, Marketing and communication management,
- Building on solid organizational achievements.
- Operational Management and Planning.
- Policy implementation.
- Integrating mission and value.
- Financial management and sustainability.
- Programs oversight.
- Governance and regulatory/statutory compliance.
- Program Development and Delivery.
- Human resources and capacity management.
- Community and stakeholder’s management.
- Advocacy and media relations.
Skills Required:
- You have held leadership positions in a development agency/agencies and have a deep understanding of international best practices.
Specifically, you are able to demonstrate experience in:
- Strategic planning, budget development and financial Management.
- Governance experience working with a Board
- Fundraising and the sustainability of organization
- Leading and managing Staff.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a masters' degree and ten years working experience in a related organization.
- Additional qualification and contacts will be an advantage.
