Job Description
- You are no stranger to client-side code, server side code, stylesheets, databases, infrastructure, enterprise service bus, as well as ways in which they all communicate.
- You are platform agnostic, Microsoft, MEAN, LAMP, etc.
- You have explored one or more front end frameworks such as AngularJS, Ember.js, React or Backbone.js.
- Solution Architecture and design is your forte, You get stuff done.
- You will be involved in all aspects of building software to revolutionize the payment industry and B2B finance and lending - limited only by your interests and ability.

Key Responsibilities
- Apply Technology & Innovation In Solving VGN Entities Sector Challenges.
Key Sectors:
- Education (e-Learning) - transforming nations using learning. This education focused entity is transforming the traditional brick and mortar universities, with empirical positive impact on learning outcomes. You will be required to apply innovative solutions to solving key challenges especially around payments
- Aviation (Airlines, Airports) - You will be required to apply innovation solutions to challenges in the Privatization, revenue management, business models, revenue assurance of Airlines, government or private Airports, and general technology driven market-making and regulatory frameworks, hub building, private public partnerships etc.
- Power (Market administrators, Generation companies, Distribution companies, Regulators) - You will be required to apply innovation solutions to challenges in the privatization, creating capacity, time based tariff management, maximum demand policy for enhancing utilization of capacity, energy trading, futures, forecast, etc.
- Technology (Cloud infrastructure) - DevOps/Cloud Hosting expert - Leverage sophisticated experts in Infrastructure planning
Responsible for all Payment Platform - Technology decisions including creating APIs, ESBs, amongst others for various development units to consume the central payment system
Any other responsibilities that may be required by the Group Chief Technology Officer or the Group Chief Executive Officer.
Required Experience
- ERP System or enterprise payment system type of software development experience (Added advantage)
- Experience with TDD, Agile, SDLC, and contemporary cloud platform options such as AWS, Azure, etc.
- Experience with Analytics, Big data trends
- A technology veteran, with over 15 years of hands on Application Development experience
- Versatile with strong DevOps skills incorporating server hosting and infrastructure for Enterprise systems
- Microsoft stack experience (Added advantage)
- Experience with large enterprise systems is critical
- Experience with Mobile platforms
- Experience building a Creative Team (Added advantage)
