JOB POSITION: Financial Controller
Job Roles/Responsibilities
- Provide Financial Leadership within the company Contribute to Financial Strategy decisions Take broad visionary responsibility as well as hands on management of the company’s department Keeping financial accounts of the Company in accordance with appropriate accounting standards;
- Follow-up and interactions with the external and internal auditors;
- All accounting activities Internal control and monitoring Financial planning and reporting Financial Analysis.
- Responsibility for best practice governance standards and documentary support for all transactions.
The Position
- The position requires a highly motivated, professional, qualified and experienced Financial Controller to join the growing company team.
- The position will be filled with an experienced, holistic while hands-on minded individual with strong senior accounting department and administrative management experience a similar manufacturing company.
- The candidate will be required to manage the accounts, finance and administrative activities of the company, including but not limited to building and managing the department, working on product costing, cost allocations, analysis and monitoring, overhead and reoccurring costs forecasting and analysis, comparing such to budgets, investigating anomalies, assessing funding options and discussions with financial institutions, fulfilling regulatory requirements, managing company business permits and licenses etc.
- The position is expected to provide regular reports to the managing director and other senior management.
Key Skills/Experience:
- 5 years experience in a similar role Experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment
- Experience managing and leading a team.
- Experience sourcing and negotiating finance with lending institutions Quickbooks or similar accounting software experience essential.
