Channels Television is one of the 13 independent television stations currently broadcasting in Nigeria, since the Federal Government deregulated the broadcast media in 1992.

Job Description
- Planning for stories for the week, supervision of various beats in the Newsroom.
- Dispatching reporters for assignments and supervising stories for update.
- Checking scripts for typographical, spelling, semantic and synthetic errors, reporting and editing and producing news bulletins.
Qualifications/Skills Required
- Must hold a B.Sc in Mass Communication or qualification in an associated field
- Must have graduated with an option of First Class or Second Class Upper Division.
- Post Graduate Degree is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 10 years work experience in this field.
- Must have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) or hold a Certificate of Exemption.
- Must be experienced in television broadcast.
- Must have a perfect understanding of how the News Department runs.

- Anchor News and Programmes and produce them.

Job Description
- Must be proficient with different types of recording media, such as analog tape, digital multi-track recorders and workstations, and computer knowledge.
- Ability to operate sound equipment needed for recording, mixing or other audio.
- Ability to add in sound effects, adjust the volume and maintain excellent sound quality throughout a broadcast.
- Will be responsible for performing all on-air operations to include recording, downloading, uploading and editing of all on-air programming and commercial material in a live News and Programmes.
- Operate all control room equipment associated with a typical live News and Programmes.
- Monitor and maintain the quality, continuity and availability of multiple networks and distribution channels in a live and non-live environment.
- Monitors video/audio quality and signal availability using waveform monitors, meters and other test and monitoring equipment

Job Position: ENG Editor (Electronic News Gathering)
Job Description
- The ENG Editor would be responsible for editing the news reports and Programmes as well as the reports brought in from assignments and bureaus by Reporters and Programme Producers. ENG Editor will edit montage and promos.
- Must be able to advise on the kind of shots expected from field assignments.
- Must be able to work with all aspects of electronic news gathering/production/editing.
- Editing Programmes, Reports, Promos and announcements.
- Must be able to do colour correction where necessary, audio balancing, light balancing and special effects. Familiarity with all aspects of field video, audio and lighting.
- Creation of montage for Station Programmes and Documentary.
- Will be responsible for all sound and lighting work including wireless and portable mixers.
- Must be familiar with editing and feeding Studio Camera and control room audio.
- Familiarity with live broadcast production and remote production.
- Will operate video recording equipment.
- Must have experience as a Motion Graphics Editor.
- Must be able to use Video Editing Suites, Final Cut Pro (FCP), Adobe Suites (Premier, Aftereffects, etc.). 3D knowledge is a plus (3d Max, Cinema 4D, etc.).
- Must have experience with live production equipment.
- Technical support/training certifications in Video Editing is a plus.

- The Master Control Operator will be responsible for performing all on-air operations to include recording, downloading, uploading and editing of all on-air programming and commercial material in a live News and Programmes.
- Operate all control room equipment associated with a typical live News and Programmes.
- Monitor and maintain the quality, continuity and availability of multiple networks and distribution channels in a live and non-live environment.
- Monitors video/audio quality and signal availability using waveform monitors, meters and other test and monitoring equipment.
- Prepare and maintain sports, News, Programmes and associated database for air.
- Capture and encoding of content related to on-air schedules. Operate on-air branding for the news.
- Assists media operations group in the recording and storage of content feeds.
- Manages deployment and retrieval of playlists and as-run files, and monitors commercial insertion system.
- Integrates live and previously recorded program content with commercial and promotional spots
- Maintains program and break continuity.

Job Description
- Operate and control Camera and Camera equipment in the Studio and all Camera equipment.
- Operating and control the Camera and on the field or outside broadcasts, for recorded and live television broadcasts and recordings.
- Assembling and setting up equipment.
- Do Audio Visual checks.
- Cover daily assignments with the Reporters and gather news stories.
- Cover live events, news and the Station’s Programmes
- Must know the techniques of television production and be conversant with the various camera shots.
- Liaising with lighting and technical staff and applying standard lighting pattern to propel the audio.
- Creatively framing, composing and capturing action and ensuring all shots are properly taken.
- Interpretation of scripts during production.
- Responding quickly to directions.
