Birthday Advantage Card Limited is looking for skilled, vibrant, intelligent and experienced candidates to fill the below position in the new Birthday Census web Application Project:

POSITION : Experienced Content Editor

Job Descriptions

The Content editor is responsible for planning, creating, editing Documentations and publishing information on website and the Internet in general.
Will head the company’s Content Departments.
The Content editors may produce material for publication on websites on companies’ internal intranets or on the public Internet.

Qualifications

Like editors in traditional media, Web content editors typically require a bachelor's degree in English, journalism or mass communication and other related fields.
Previous experience in an editorial or Web-related position also is an advantage.

Skills:

Web content editors must have excellent writing and editing skills, with an understanding of the special requirements of writing for the Web and Company, such as the use of keywords, hyperlinks, navigation and the importance of brevity.
He/She must have a good eye for detail, with excellent spelling, grammar and punctuation skills.
Must have good interpersonal skills to work effectively with contributors, designers and webmasters.
Will need good organizational skills to collate material from multiple sources and produce web content and other documents within tight deadlines.
Overseeing the work of writers, art directors, experience designers and other members of the content development function.
Participating in new business development efforts, leading creative teams and developing client response materials.
Mentoring, coaching, providing feedback, performance planning and career path development.

Content Development:

Content editors work with contributors, such as copywriters, product managers, marketing executives, researchers, photographers, publishers or image libraries to gather material for websites.
She/he may also write material themselves.
Editors check content for accuracy and ensure that it complies with copyright and privacy regulations.
She/he may edit the copy to make it easy to read on a website page or document and convert longer content to a format that visitors can download.
To meet the needs of visitors who view websites on tablet computers or smartphones, editors must modify content so that it is easy to view on smaller screens.

Collaboration:

Web content and document editors work with other Web professionals, such as Web designers, developers and webmasters to determine the best way to present information online.
Editors may upload content themselves or provide material to designers or webmasters.
She/he will contact contributors to find out if material needs to be updated, and they encourage contributors to supply new content to keep the website fresh for returning visitors.

Monitoring:

Must ensure that Documentations and Web content meets the needs and interests of website visitors, monitor visitor behavior by reviewing website statistics, check page popularity by the number of visitors and remove content that has low levels of interest.
They and may also encourage feedback by providing the means for visitors to leave comments.
