College of Education, Igueben, Edo State - The College has the main objective of producing qualified and competent middle level teaching personnel for the Junior Secondary School level in the humanities, science, technical and vocational subjects. The College which was reopened in 2006 on a sound academic and administrative foundation, is reputable for Academic excellence in teaching and research.

POSITION : Bursar

Job Description

The Bursar is the Head of the Bursary Department of the College.
He/she is responsible to the provost for the day-to-day administration and control of the financial affairs of the College.
He/She shall perform such other functions as it may be assigned to him/her from time to time.

Qualification and Experience

The Applicant must possess HND/ good honours degrees in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, as well as a professionally recognized accounting qualification e.g ACMA, ACA, ACCA etc.
Possession of higher degree will be an added advantage plus evidence of NYSC Certificate of Service.
The Applicant should have at least Fifteen (15) years experience after the HND/honours degrees and Ten (10) years after professional qualification, Five (5) years of which must have been spent on a senior position in an institution of higher Learning.
Preference will be given to candidates within the Colleges of Education System.
The Applicant must be registered with at least a profession body, have demonstrable and proven innovative abilities and drive.
He/she must be proficient in ICT packages and accounting software.

Terms and Conditions Of Service

The terms and conditions of service are as applicable to similar institutions within the Nigerian Colleges of Education System d as may be determined from time to time by the Governing Council.
The tenure of the office of the Bursar is Five in the first instance, effective from the date of appointment.
The successful appointees may be re-appointed for one further term of Five (5) years and no more.
