A reputable NGO in Nigeria, is currently seeking to employ suitably qualified candidate for the position below for a new NGO capacity building program (Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (RMNCH):

POSITION : Think Tanks, Consultancy Firm and University Departments 

Job Descriptions

We seek, Think tanks, consultancy firms and University Departments in Public Health, Public Policy, Civil society research & Capacity Building, Human Resources Management, Demography and Health Budget tracking: Teams from think tanks, consultancy firms and University Departments are invited to submit 4-5 page joint applications to conduct research and provide technical backstopping to - Produce issue briefs, Review technical documents, Conduct staffing plans for NGOs, Development & review manuals, Conduct primary data collection, Analyze secondary data and/or facilitate NGO trainings.

Job Requirements

Joint applicants must provide competency profiles of 4-5 members of the team with charge out rates, number of days available per month in 2016 and past contracts and projects carried out.
Applications which propose to include competent junior or female researchers and/or Post-graduate students in research teams will be given positive consideration.

 

POSITION : Program Officers

Job Descriptions

Five Program Officers will be engaged across RMNCH components on a full-time basis.
Program Officers will develop, operationalize and revise project work-plans to ensure project activities are carried out as and when scheduled;
Establish an effective information management system for the project;
Review, produce activity and periodic report;
Establish improved mechanisms, guidelines and operating principles for project management.

Job Requirements

S/he must have a first Degree in the Social Sciences with 3+ years of experience holing a similar position in Public Health project.
A Master's degree in Public Health or Development Studies will be an asset.
Excellent coordination and project management competencies are also required.

 

POSITION : Consultant and Technical Advisor 

Job Description

We seek, Consultants and Technical Advisors in Public Health Advocacy, Health Communications, Health Economists, Health Budgets & Policy Analysts, Human resources management for NGOs, and Capacity building of health NGOs, for a new NGO capacity building program (Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (RMNCH).

Job Requirements

Experts with consultancy experiences in the above areas within maternal health, family planning, nutrition, child health, immunization and capacity building of health NGOs sectors, are invited to submit a CV and covering letter for consideration.

 

POSITION : Accountant (Compliance, FCT)

Job Descriptions

The Accountant will be responsible for ensuring sub-grantee NGO compliance with budgets, procurement policies, project guidelines and contractual financial obligations.
S/he will review expenditure requests of sub-grantee NGOs; review for compliance; produce reports; and coordinate with the Director, Grants and Finance Management.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a university Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration with 2-5 years work experience carrying out similar functions with NGOs in development funded programs.
Possession of Chartered Accounting qualifications will be an added advantage.
The ideal candidate must also have excellent computer skills and competence in using accounting software. This is a full-time position.

 

POSITION : Senior Technical Advisor

Job Requirements

The Senior Technical Advisor is a full time position. S/he will provide strategic leadership of the RMNCH project which will be implemented through sub-grants to registered NGOs.
Creative and committed development practitioners with 3+ years experience developing and supporting Nigerian civil society organizations in public health are encourage to apply.
The ideal candidate must have post-graduate qualifications in Development Studies, Sociology, Political Sciences, or Public Health; with strong facilitative leadership skills and report writing competences.
