POSITION : Civil/Structural Engineer

Job Description

Real Estate Company with Head Office in Lagos and Branches spread all over Nigeria has vacancy for a high profile and qualified Engineer to fill the position of a Civil/Structural Engineer.
The job holder will be responsible for Planning, designing and directing engineering projects on buildings, mechanical and highways. S/He will in addition to preparing workable design drawings of roadway projects also serve as Resident Engineer on major construction projects and supervise department Engineers.
This position will deal with the technical resource of company in designing, operation and civil engineering requirements in a variety of projects and having an understanding of the structural systems.
Candidate must have a strong understanding of building codes and regulatory requirements when handling a project.

Requirements
Those who can apply must:

Possess a minimum of Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering;
Professional Engineer - License Structural Engineer;
Experienced in commercial and industrial construction projects;
Excellent Oral/Written Communication skills to positively represent the company;
Orgnaized documentation and record retention capability;
Must be knowledgeable of geotechnical conditions and able to provide analysis on various foundation designs;
Have 15 years minimum related experience at supervisory level as well as equivalent continuous training;
Have ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from contractors, regulatory agencies, or other engineers;
Have ability to read, analyze and interpret common engineering,technical,financial and legal reports;
Be able to effectively present information to contractors, employees, government agency personnel and the general public;
Be registered with the Nigerian Society of Engineers/COREN;
Should have knowledge of AutoCAd, 3D design and BIM as well as the latest structural design software
Be between the ages of 43 and 45years;
Be self motivated with ability to deliver projects in a timely and quality manner.
