- Good quality honours Degree, PGCE, or equivalent in Secondary Education.
- Experience proven success of teaching English at KS1, KS2, KS3 and KS4.
- Leadership and management experience within a faculty of Communication/English department and proof of impact.
- Knowledge /skills strong subject knowledge.
- An understanding of what makes outstanding teaching and learning and the ability to put this into practice.

- Graduate with qualified teachers status with major in Music.
- Experience of middle leadership in a British Curriculum school
- Knowledge of relevant curriculum areas in different Key Stages, including a sound understanding of assessment and monitoring.
- Ability to play various musical, orchestral instruments and to sing.
- Knowledge child development and especially of characteristics of children in the various age groups.
