COMMUNICATION INTERN

 Linking the Youth of Nigeria through Exchange (LYNX-NIGERIA) 15-Jul-2016 OSHOGBO , Internship  

 

This role will work closely with the Partnership and Outreach Officer at LYNX secretariat to assist in development and update of the organization’s website and social media and activities related to boosting the image of the organization. The intern position will cover a period of three months and the intern will put in 20hrs per week. A transport stipend will be included to the internship package.

Reports to:

Partnership and Outreach Officer, LYNX Nigeria

 

Responsibilities:

  • Supports the officer in charge in developing and maintenance of website
  • Manages the organization ‘s social media; face book, twitter, e.t.c
  • Updates mailing list
  • Supports the officer in charge in writing the monthly newsletters
  • Supports the officer in charge in developing content for LYNX magazine
  • Other ad hoc communication duties

 

Position Requirements: Qualification and experience needed for this position include:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Public relations,  mass communication or any related course
  • Must possess good ICT skills
  • Must possess skills in the use of the social media
  • Must possess skills in the use of microsoft publisher and web design
  • Ability to engage in internet marketing is a plus
  • Good communication (oral and written) and inter-personal skills, team player, able to work under minimal supervision in a fast-paced academic environment.
  • Passion for Child and Youth development/working with NGOs
  • Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people
