POSITION : Human Resources Training Manager

Job Description
Responsible for creating and implementing training programs and overseeing the development of careers. Sets performance metrics, evaluates productivity, and helps workers create long-term career plans within an organization. You are required to be strategic rather than reactive, assessing the skills and knowledge within an organization and determining what training is needed to grow and retain these skills:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor training programs within an organization.
  • Conduct orientation sessions.
  • Create brochures and training materials.
  • Develop multimedia visual aids and presentations.
  • Create testing and evaluation processes.
  • Provide companies with classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, and workshops.
  • Manage the engagement of specific facilitators.
  • Provide performance feedback.
  • Conduct continuing education training.
  • Designing and expanding training and development programmes based on the needs of the organisation and the individual;
  • Working in a team to produce programmes that are satisfactory to all relevant parties in an organisation, such as line managers, accountants and senior managers at board level;
  • Considering the costs of planned programmes and keeping within budgets as assessing the return on investment of any training or development programme

Job Specific Competencies (Skills/ Knowledge/ Attributes):

  • Interpersonal skills that enable you to work with people at all levels, motivate others and change people's attitudes when necessary;
  • Written and spoken communication skills that allow you to inform and advise others clearly;
  • Problem-solving and negotiation skills;
  • Initiative and the ability to offer new ideas;
  • Organizational and planning skills to manage your time and to meet deadlines and objectives;

Academic and Professional

  • First Degree in Business Administration, Humanities or Social Sciences, an MBA will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 Years’ Experience In a similar role.
