Job Descriptions
- Achieves lifting activities offshore on schedule and according to HSE regulations.
- Ensures effective and timely response to construction activity and ensure compliance with company procedures.
- Ensures that activities performed on site in the project perimeter fulfill project HSE requirements.
- Carries out all lifting operations activities required for the successful delivery of the Contracts assigned.
- Shall be responsible to arrange and organize relevant materials and accessories from lay down area to work location.
- Shall be involved in fit-up and fabrication activities.
- Shall be conversant with basic ethics aimed at controlling quality of works
- To cross check all materials needed for fabrication with the Material Controller.
- Liaising with Site Lifting Specialist on a day to day basis for all lifting operations.
- Reports any incident as per Company and Project rules.
- Participates in Job Hazard Analyses and Attend safety toolbox meetings on a daily basis with contractors' work teams.
- Any other work of a similar nature as may be requested by his hierarchy
Qualifications
The holder of this position must have the following qualifications:
- Diploma holder
- Experience in Offshore construction, Installation, Pre-commissioning and Commissioning in an Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Industry preferably on an FPSO.
- Experience in oil and gas or related industry to have knowledge of the specific environment linked to HSE aspects
- Shall be able to recognize basic rigging signs and symbols.
- Shall be able to identify basic rigging gears and its operability
- Shall be able to carry out basic fastening techniques for lifting and load transfer.
- Shall be responsible to arrange and organize relevant materials and accessories from lay down area to work location.
- Shall be involved in fit-up and fabrication activities.
- Shall be in involved in ensuring safety of self and others on site
- Shall be conversant with basic ethics aimed at controlling quality of works
- Ability to work in a large multinational team
- Ability to work independently while maintaining good relations with colleagues and others
- Physical ability to work on offshore installations in the climatic conditions of the site
- Working language: English mandatory, French is an advantage
