The Niger State College of Education, Minna, invites suitably qualified candidates to fill the position below in the Institution:

POSITION : Bursar

Responsibilities/Duties

  • The Bursar shall be responsible for planning, organizing, directing and coordinating the operations of the entire financial system of the College.
  • The Bursar shall be responsible to the Provost for the day-to-day administration of the Bursary Department.

Qualifications 
Candidates for the post of Bursar must satisfy the following:

  • The Candidates must have a good honours degree in Accountancy (not less than second class honour division) or its equivalent from a recognized University or Polytechnic.
  • He/she must have at least fifteen (15) years post qualification experience.
  • Candidates must also possess professional qualification in accounting such as ICAN/ACA/CNA/ANA/ACCA/ACMA plus five (5) years post qualification experience.
  • Possession of a higher degree in accountancy with adequate post qualification experience will also be an added advantage and must be computer literate from a government recognised institution.

POSITION : Registrar

Duties

  • The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer of the College of Education, Minna and shall be responsible to the Provost for the day-to-day administration of the College of Education, Minna.

The Registrar shall serve as:

  • Secretary to the Governing Council;
  • Secretary to the Academic Board;
  • Secretary to the Statutory Committees;
  • Responsible for keeping all records in the College;
  • Liaise with other institutions on academic matters;
  • Issuing Certificates of Service of Officers;
  • Issuing Certificate and Statement of Results to graduating students; and
  • Performs any other functions that as may be assigned by the Provost.

Qualifications

  • Candidates for the position of the Registrar must have a Good honour degree (not less than second class lower division).
  • He/she must have at least 15 years experience, five (5) of which must have been spent as a Deputy Registrar in the College or similar Academic Institutions.
  • The possession of a Master’s Degree or relevant administrative professional Certificates will be an added advantage and evidence of
  • Membership of appropriate administrative professional body will also be additional advantage and must be Computer literate.
  • In addition, he/she must be a person of proven integrity, intellectually and professionally sound and good human relations.

Terms of Appointment
The appointment of a Registrar for the College is for a term of four (4) years in the first instance and renewable, subject to satisfactory performance for another term of four (4) years, only.
