POSITION : Engineer
Description
Maximising the performance potential from the site.
Drive continuous improvement within the engineering department.
Provide manufacturing engineering support to the Operations department.
Ensuring reliability and efficiency of all process manufacturing facilities on site.
Scope
Ensure great communication is maintained between all parties involved in this area of work. Supporting the Team Leader and production agenda with a balanced view.
Provide strong maintenance & engineering support in the area, improving efficiency, safety, quality and cost..
Working with the Shift Teams to develop CI projects, balancing the expectations of shift area delivery against the CI priority list. Insuring compliance to timing of delivery and expenditure.
Control of contractors for maintenance activities ensuring compliance to site standards.
A key objective for this individual is to coordinate engineering activity and standards primarily in the process area.
Designing out ‘ flaws and ‘ building in ‘ capability to optimise the line performance. Using our information systems such as the site CMMS system for identification of improvements will also be fundamental.
Drive a quality culture through the adherence to first class engineering techniques. Compliance to Food Safety and GMP standards.
Detailed technical guidance for the planning and completion of maintenance activities on the process lines.
Criticality analysis of site assets to drive improvements in key areas.
Support and develop Root Cause analysis within the department to identify improvement opportunities and drive actions to completion.
Major Breakdown coordination where required, analysis of reports & guidance on recommendations
Identify, source and ensure availability of maintenance spares, liaising closely with the stores team.
