POSITION : Media/Edutainment Program Coordinator
DESCRIPTION
Planning and Coordination of Edutainment Activities:
- You will be required to develop activities that support children’s learning and development, with incidental entertainment values. Part of the edutainment programs developed for our earlychildhood schools are as follows:
- Role/Pretense play, Crafts & Arts, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), reading drama activities, Musical activities, Sports, educational games development etc. Please explore the video links below for clearer description of this responsibility:
Media Clips Production:
- You will be responsible for leading and/or coordinating the efforts to produce high quality audio and video clips for our media broadcasts.
- Typical formats for such broadcast include: Motion pictures, Audio movie productions, Video clip / film productions, television programs, social media contents, short power point animations etc.
Television Program:
- Lead the efforts to prepare programs/scripts for our weekly television program series and/or radio broadcasts. Part of your responsibility will involve getting sponsors for specifically defined programs.
- Work together with our program sponsors, production team and other crew members to organize and deliver high quality media productions.
Support to GES:
- Occasionally, you may be required to support GES activities in case of unexpected absence of educators.
- Work together with GES educators and child development technical specialists to develop and organize educational games: Board based, card based and Video games.
Event Planning:
- Plan events and ensure successful completions. Such events could include children birthday party, celebrations, public holiday events, get together etc. Y
- Ensure that all resources required for the event are available well in time, and all client’s requests (E.g. Meals and drinks) are met.
Facility Maintenance:
- Responsible for the management and maintenance of all educational toys and teaching equipment in the earlychildhood facility.
- All toys and educational equipment are proprietary properties of the Gritwel Edutainment Company. Other media and production gadgets in your care include HD cameras, Home theater, 3D TVS etc.
- Ensure that all equipment is used in a safe and appropriate manner.
Requirements
- Be at least 25 years of age, and authorized to work in Nigeria
- minimum B.Sc. or HND as a media personnel is required. Minimum 2 years’ experience in hosting TV programs, media presenting and journalism is required.
- Experience on working with children in an earlychildhood setting.
- Good-looking female with a high sense of stylish appearance, you will need to audition and complete a screen test during your interview discussions.
- Candidate must possess a formal certificate and working knowledge on first aid for young children, or must have taken at least a 20 credit hours’ course on the subject.
- Excellent organizational skills, with ability to plan, organize, and multitask with minimal supervision.
- Candidate must be able to stay calm under stressful conditions
- Must have an excellent command of English is essential
- Candidate must be reliable, honest, and trustworthy, with good ethical behaviors
- Communication and presentation skills in English Language
- Comfortable appearing on camera while working with children.
- Good memory, for recalling scripts and facts
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and multitask

- During your interview, you’ll need to present us with a showreel featuring clips of yourself on camera to show to us your on-screen presenting skills.
Requirements and Experience:
- minimum B.Sc. or HND as a media personnel is required. Minimum 2 years’ experience in hosting TV programs, media presenting and journalism is required.
- Experience on working with children in an earlychildhood setting.
- Minimum Experience: 2 years
