POSITION : Hygiene Specialist
Amongst other duties, the Hygiene Specialist will:
- Conduct training and assessment in the workplace
- Optimise cleaning and sanitising practices and procedures across the brewery
- Develop and control documentation in the workplace
- Implement HACCP Policies and Conduct Environmental Survey
- Facilitate problem solving and decision making
- Identify Hygiene Practices and Risks in wort production and draught beer process
- Identify Hygiene Practices and Risks in yeast and fermentation
- Ensure Microbial Control in the brewing process
- Identify Hygiene Practices and Risks in maturation and storage
- Identify Hygiene Practices and Risks in beer filtration
- Identify Hygiene Practices and Risks in packaging
- Identify Hygiene Practices and Risks in utilities and waste
- Contribute to team and self development
- Communicate effectively in the workplace
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Food Technology, Microbiology or equivalents
- 2 - 3 years’ Experience as a Microbiology Laboratory Technician
- Diploma in Brewing (IBD) will be an added advantage
