POSITION : Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Responsibilities
- Responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing Project development and the company's operational policies, rules, initiatives, and goals.
- Help the organisation execute long-term and short-term plans and directives by implementing judgment, vision, management, and leadership.
- Manage and oversee performance and budgets of projects.
- Point of contact with the Board to report on all technical and operational activities.
- Establish and monitor performance-reporting systems.
- Coordinate with the CFO on financial performance of company's operations.
- Identify training and developmental priorities in conjunction with the HR and ensure that staff are adequately skilled to meet the future requirements of the company.
- Measure effectiveness and efficiency of operational processes both internally and externally and find ways to improve processes for new projects, ongoing projects, and O&M operations.
- Establish project scope and manage the change process. Plan, monitor and manage multiple projects and associated scope.
- Develop and implement growth strategies.
- Act as a liaison between company, vendors and client for quality assurance.
- Raise capital through banks or outside investors to help foster growth or achieve set objectives.
- Provide mentoring to all employees, including management.
- Motivate staff to meet or surpass organizational and sales goals.
- Coordinate with human resources department to recruit skilled talent and keep the best employees.
- Oversee daily operations and make adjustments as necessary.
- Present new ideas and cash flow strategies to board of directors and other company officers.
- Direct acquisitions and sales of assets to meet organisation goals and objectives.
- Evaluate newly implemented sales plans.
- Promote communication between colleagues for the benefit of information flow and to curb any problems that arise.
- Validate Company's operational sites comply with best industry practice ensuring the safety of Company personnel.
- Ensure that all of the company’s procedures are being followed and implemented on the project and monitored on a regular basis.
- Perform key management role as described within the company Quality Safety Health & Environment Policy and Statement, develop and endorse a Health and Safety culture within the organization.
- Strategic planning of operations management within the company.
- Manage internal and external customer interface.
- Manage Client Relationship, Business Development and identify new business for the company.
Qualifications
Engineering background:
- 12 years relevant work experience in management knowledge areas listed below:
- Industry Knowledge (Independent Power)
