POSITION : Software Developer (PHP)
Responsibilities
- Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners;
- Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance upgrades;
- Setting up accounts for staff and ensuring that they know how to log in (with approval from the management);
- Solving password-related problems (with approval from the management);
- Talking to computer users to determine the nature of any problems they encounter;
- Designing of the overall architecture of the web application;
- Implementation of a robust set of services and application programming interface (API) to power the web application;
- Building reusable code and libraries for future use;
- Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability;
- Implementation of security and data protection;
- Translation of UI/UX wireframes to visual elements;
- Integration of the front-end and back-end aspects of the web application;
- Responding to technical breakdowns;
- Investigating, diagnosing and solving computer software and hardware faults;
- Supervising junior engineering and technical staff;
- Obtaining replacement or specialist components, fixtures or fittings (computer-related);
- Checking computer equipment for electrical safety;
- Maintaining records of software licenses.
Qualifications
- B.Sc, HND or foundation degree.
- Good knowledge of the following may be an advantage:
- Business information technology;
- Business systems engineering;
- Computer networking and hardware;
- Computer software development;
- IT Certifications like Microsoft, Linux, Unix and Cisco certification may give you an advantage.
