Newage Solutions and Technologies Limited is recruiting to fill the position below:
POSITION : Software Developer (.Net)
Responsibilities
Integration of the front-end and back-end aspects of the web application;
Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners;
Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance upgrades;
Setting up accounts for staff and ensuring that they know how to log in (with approval from the management);
Solving password-related problems (with approval from the management);
Talking to computer users to determine the nature of any problems they encounter;
Designing of the overall architecture of the web application;
Implementation of a robust set of services and application programming interface (API) to power the web application;
Building reusable code and libraries for future use;
Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability;
Implementation of security and data protection;
Translation of UI/UX wireframes to visual elements;
Responding to technical breakdowns;
Investigating, diagnosing and solving computer software and hardware faults;
Supervising junior engineering and technical staff;
Obtaining replacement or specialist components, fixtures or fittings (computer-related);
Checking computer equipment for electrical safety;
Maintaining records of software licenses.
Qualifications
A B.Sc., HND or foundation Degree.
Good knowledge of the following may be an advantage:
Business information technology;
Business systems engineering;
Computer networking and hardware;
Computer software development;
IT Certifications like Microsoft, Linux, Unix and Cisco certification may give you an advantage.
Skills:
Excellent listening and questioning skills, combined with the ability to interact confidently with clients to establish what the problem is and explain the solution;
Problem solving skills;
Ability to prioritise your workload;
Ability to think logically;
Ability to work well in a team.
You will need to show evidence of the following:
A good memory of how software and operating systems work;
