Centre for Community Development and Research Network (CCDRN) is a Non-governmental organization (NGO) in Nigeria with its head office in Kaduna. CCDRN partners with communities, philanthropists, government and donors to provide sustainable community development services in the areas of conflict resolution, peace building, economic empowerment, agriculture, health, education as well as governance. CCDRN seeks to recruit the services of qualified personnel to fill its vacant position in Kaduna offices.
We are looking for a suitable candidate to fill the vacancy below:
Position: Communication and Reporting Officer
Location: Kaduna (1 position)
Reports to: Executive Director
Position Summary: The Communication and Reporting Officer is fully responsible to ensure that all information and data from the field is captured, documented, analysed and reported in a results-based and timely manner for donors and internal purposes. The Communication and Reporting Officer is responsible for developing communication material for external audience.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Communication
- Ensure effective communications, visibility and knowledge management within CCDRN and to external audience.
- Develop, implement and monitor a communication and visibility plan to facilitate better understanding among partners and government about CCDRN as an organization and program progress
- Undertake filed visits to gather the information and results related to the program
- Develop visibility material such as leaflets, monthly newsletter, update on website, and develop and success stories.
- Work on advocacy points with the program team and other coordination forum.
Reporting
- With input from the national monitoring and evaluation officer and Program Managers, help produce high quality program progress reports as per donor’s requirements
- Provide high quality editing and formatting for all program related documents;
- Support program staff in organizing and managing seminars, workshops, press conferences and field visits as required;
- Provide relevant expert services to the project management unit, program components and implementing partners on reporting and communications and act as a facilitator or trainer;
- Provide through progress reporting continuous analysis of the achievements, facilitate project review, evaluation and audits;
- Develop donors reporting date and requirements template
- Other duties as needed
Qualifications & requirements:
- Minimum of degree in Mass communications, journalism, English, social sciences or related areas.
- at least 3 years relevant working experience.
- S/he should have an extensive experience in communication and diffusion strategies and techniques, reporting, documentation, publication, and audio-visual material preparation in relation to conservation and development fields.
- S/he should possess excellent writing, editing, and speaking skills in English.
- S/he should be well versed in the latest electronic publishing and graphics methods.
- Priority will be given to candidates who demonstrate a high level of motivation and good communication, social, and interpersonal skills
- S/he must be well versed in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- S/he must be fluent in spoken and written English language.
