Vacancy for Network Engineer at The Dangote Group

The Dangote Group a leading diversified manufacturing conglomerates with businesses in Cement Manufacturing, Sugar Milling, Sugar Refining, Packaging Material Production and Salt Refining and oil and gas.

POSITION : Network Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Develop automated methods to mitigate and remediate network events
  • Analyze data to diagnose and identify root causes to network issues
  • Be an active participant in deep technical discussions
  • Develop and maintain consistency within the networking infrastructure
  • Manage and maintain multi-vendor, multi-protocol data center and backbone networks
  • Define and develop optimized network monitoring systems
  • Design and deploy new network architectures

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of in-depth experience with routing and switching
  • Scripting experience with Perl or Python highly preferred
  • Knowledge of MPLS, BGP, and ISIS
  • 2 years experience with BGP and IGP
  • 2 years experience in Linux/Unix
  • Experience with Linux/Unix
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong Time Management, Interpersonal and communications skills
  • Experience working in a multi-vendor network environment
  • Ability to manage long term, project/milestone based work with multiple teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP or JNCIP preferred, Expert level certifications a plus.
  • Scripting and automation experience a bonus.
