The Precious Cornerstone University (PCU) an Institution of the Sword of the Spirit Ministries was licensed on December 6, 2017 by Federal Government of Nigeria as a private Faith Based University. The University is commencing operation with two faculties namely; Faculty of Pure and Applied Sciences, Faculty of Social and Management Sciences and five (5) Departments.

The Governing Council of the Precious Cornerstone University (PCU), Ibadan, wishes to commence the process of filling the vacant position below:

Job Title: Vice - Chancellor

Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Job Description

The Vice - Chancellor Is the Chief Executive Officer of the University responsible for Its day-to-day running.
The Candidate shall be th chairman at all meetings of the University Senate which Is the highest academic body of the university.’

Requirements

The Candidate for the post of the Vice Chancellor is required to possess a good University education and should be a proven successful manager of human and material resources.

Specifically, the candidate shall be expected to: :

Be a highly distinguished scholar, with a Ph.D degree and Professor, normally with a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience on demonstrate ability to provide administrative leadership for established institution;
Be a person of proven integrity;
Be not. more than 65 years as possible assumption of duty; of the national and communities through
Command the respect International academic his/her track record;
Strengthen bridges between staff, students, and other members of the university community;
Be a person with ,a clear vision for’ the development of the University;
Enjoy excellent physical and mental health;
Attract the much-needed funds into the University.

Terms and Condition

The Vice-Chancellor shall hold the office for a single term of five (5) years only on such terms and conditions as may be specified in the letter of appointment.
The remuneration and fringe benefits include pension scheme as may, from time to time, be approved by the Governing Council, furnished accommodation, official vehicle and other benefits applicable to similar positions.

Application made in twenty (20) copies, accompanied by twenty (20) copies of the candidate’s Curriculum Vitae duly signed and dated.
The Curriculum Vitae must contain the candidate’s name in full, age, marital status, educational attainment, nationality, professional and academic achievements.
Application should Include the names and addresses of three referees, Each referee should be contacted by the applicant to forward, direct to the Registrar, a confidential report on the candidate’s character, academic and managerial abilities In a properly sealed envelope marked: “Post of Vice-Chancellor; Referee’s Report” at the top left hand corner of the envelope
Application must be accompanied by 20 copies of statement of the candidate’s vision for the University in the Twenty-First Century
The sealed envelope(s) containing the applications should be marked "Post of Vice-Chancellor" at the top left hand corner and forwarded
