DOAM Foundation, a fast growing Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) with core focus on the Education and Health Care of orphaned and vulnerable children, is seeking for a well-qualified candidate to fill the position of:

Job Title: Chief Program Officer

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Job Responsibilities

Develop and oversee the organization's long term goals and strategies
Develop and oversee the implementation of the Foundation’s operational policies and procedures
Ensure that the financial management system is effective and efficient
Develop and maintain very good working relationships with existing and potential benefactors
Take the lead for fund raising, including identifying, developing and cultivating relationships with potential benefactors interested in education and healthcare programs particularly for the less privileged children.
Effectively monitor projects and provide technical support and obtain evidence based/assessment of progress of projects
Develop and maintain very good working environment for optimum staff performance
Research and maintain a knowledge base to further develop and enhance the capacity of orphaned and vulnerable children (OVCs)
Engage and assist less privileged communities in defining their life improving needs and building community driven strategies to address these needs.
Any other duties as defined by the Board of the Foundation.

Job Specifications

Strong and natural passion for Humanitarian works.
Strong first Degree in any of the Social Sciences. A higher degree will be an advantage
A minimum of 10 years solid experience in Educational and or healthcare establishments plus at least 5 years hands on experience in NGO sector.
Clearly demonstrated management and Leadership skills working with programs
Self motivated leader with excellent interpersonal skills, teamwork and integrity
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Good resource planning, organization and utilization skills.
Intellectual agility and the ability to analyze think critically and understand issues and trends in the non- profit sector.
Unquestionable ethics and personal integrity.
