Role Summary
- Responsible for driving the cash collection process.
Essential Responsibilities
Collections:
- Build relationships with customers and supported businesses aimed at enabling timely payment, issue resolution and building compliant process
- Customer contact for early collection, escalation and resolution to ensure collection per payment terms
- Resolve customer inquiries promptly & accurately, by understanding customer market & needs
- Proactively and timely partner with P&L, finance & operations teams to drive past dues reduction
- Support prompt customer resolution of issues; proactively raise customer disputes, initiate escalations and follow up on snag for timely resolution
- Manage assigned portfolio and set collections targets including review of client data, patterns and key trends
- Proactive follow up on timely and accurate cash application through provision of support
- Delivery of manual customer invoices and dispatch of statements
- Identify and log customer complaints, disputes in the system
- Be responsible for customer financial order approval/releases (if needed), by balancing the needs of the customer with the financial realities of their liquidity
- Have a controllership overview of the dunning cycle/letters
- Deposit/Banking of customer cheques where the need arises
- Support Cash Application team gathering payment details from customer and reconcile account if needed
- Accomplish all responsibilities in line with GE's compliance and integrity requirements
Reporting, Metrics + Op. Mech.:
- Ensure completeness of documentation and weekly visibility of collectible and non-collectible AR
- Track all non-collectibles, initiate dispute tracking where applicable and provide accurate/complete details
- Escalate all accounts with payment risk and follow up for appropriate actions
- Publish weekly AR status and quarterly trends by customers as well as cash forecasts
- Drive consistent metric definitions & process for measurement across all platforms
Leadership + Controllership:
- Ensure compliance/adherence to Global Enterprise Standards & Controllership guidelines
- Coordinate O2C and WCS teams, GE businesses, Controllership & Compliance teams
Qualifications/Requirements
- Degree in Finance or Business Management or equivalent knowledge or experience or sound collections (3+ years) experience
- 3+ years O2C or finance experience & exposure to virtual/remote team
- Experience of work with multiple teams both GE & 3rd party across region
- Ability to influence & work collaboratively with matrixed teams
- Strong communicator, building relationships with internal partners & external customers

Essential Responsibilities
- Represent as the technical focal point for projects thru coordination and planning all aspects of assessing, proposing, and technical execution of plant rehab and upgrade opportunities by leveraging the regional and global teams at every step of the process
- Work with regional/global application teams in understanding all aspects of the technical proposals that include complex, extended scope (BOP) and flange-to-flange upgrades & CM&Us
- Provide technical management throughout the execution process and work closely with fulfillment teams in assuring a smooth handover and execution with mitigated risk plans
- Work closely with P&L project leaders as well as fulfillment PMO teams as the engineering liaison throughout the implementation phase and be the technical point of contact for duration of the project

- Responsible for all project engineering deliverables in accordance with customer contract including deviation requests

- Provide technical guidance to project engineering team in resolution of engineering issues and assistance to site manager / construction manager /commissioning manager in reviewing engineering issues and other concerns
- Attend customer meetings involving engineering to resolve technical issues and develop project weekly and monthly comprehensive reports
- Resolution and handling of contract issues with customer and subcontractors in accordance with contract
- Update Project Deliverable List (PDL) on regular basis
- Ensure that documents’ quality is assured and transmittals to customer are complying with contractual requirements
- Control of management of engineering change and contractual variations in compliance with contract
- Participate in construction and customer meetings as required by the project
- Manage the engineering schedule and provide inputs for MTS to the Project Director
- Responsible for engineering budget and cost including productivity improvements
- Lead regular meetings with engineering staff and subcontractor
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science or equivalent knowledge or work experience
- At least 8 years of experience in an engineering or technology role
- At least 5 years’ experience in project management of medium to large scale industrial projects
- Extensive knowledge of general turbomachinery and power plant building blocks including balance of plant
- Experience with power plant design and upgrades, including systems analysis and testing
- Experience in successfully communicating with senior leaders and customers, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to lead in a matrix organization with regional and global footprint
- Ability to identify and rectify gaps that can pose a risk to the profitability and success of the project
- Ability and aptitude for detailed oriented tasks
