Owens and Xley Consults is a Lagos based company that offers business advisory and consulting services to help Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs).

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Supermarket Accountant

Location: Ikota, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Responsibilities  

  • Balance bank account.
  • Audit financial statements and assess accounts for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • File and document internal financial records of the supermarket
  • Liaise with vendors and call suppliers for supplies when needed.
  • Ensure all payments are reconciled daily. (Stock and payment should tally).
  • Carry out stock weekly reconciliation
  • Monitor products and process payment
  • Supervise the activities of the stock keeper to ensure inventory in the store is accurately accounted for.
  • Settle utility bills
  • Take part in cash disbursement and reconciliation with the cashiers.
  • Drive full compliance with all tax regulations.
  • Prepare monthly payroll and implement statutory deductions.
  • Prepare monthly profit and lost
  • Track transactions on balance sheets and report any discrepancies.
  • Keep updated records of thecompany’s assets.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree, HND / OND qualification with 1 - 2 years of work experience.  

Salary
N70,000 monthly.
