We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Chief Engineer

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Overview

The Chief Engineer will play a pivotal role in leading our engineering and construction teams to new heights of excellence.
He/She will be responsible for providing technical leadership, overseeing project design and execution, and ensuring that our engineering solutions are innovative, cost-effective, and compliant with industry standards.
The Chief Engineer will be required to dedicate sufficient time on strategic issues in the office and technical issues on site.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the design and execution of engineering and construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
Supervise various teams to ensure effective execution of projects.
Develop and implement engineering strategies and initiatives to drive excellence in project delivery.
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of talented engineers and technical staff.
Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and stakeholders to translate project requirements into actionable engineering solutions.
Drive innovation by exploring emerging technologies and methodologies to enhance project efficiency and sustainability.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and quality control protocols.
Supervising every phase of the project from start to completion.
Manage project risks and provide effective solutions to challenges that may arise during construction.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering Discipline (preferably Civil or Mechanical).
Minimum of 20 years professional experience
Civil Service or Public Sector experience preferred
Experience with working on Government projects is an added advantage.
Proven experience in a leadership role within the Engineering and Construction industry.
Strong project management skills and a track record of successful project delivery.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
In-depth knowledge of engineering principles, codes, and standards.
Familiarity with relevant software and technology tools.
Commitment to safety, quality, and sustainability in engineering practices.
Ability to think strategically and solve complex problems.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
