We are a top-class Secondary School located in Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State that is very passionate about education and all forms of learning. Our classrooms are well designed with resources within spacious landscaped grounds that offer the students both indoor and outdoor learning and play areas. Our school is well-resourced with a library, science and home economics laboratories and an ICT centre.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Subject Teacher

Location: Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom
Employment Type: Full-time

Overview
We require the services of subject teachers especially in the:

English Language
History
Geography
Physical Education.

Job Description

We are looking for people who understand the important role education plays in our society and how we can impact our immediate community through education. If successful, you will be joining a highly motivated staff team.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Develop and implement lessons/work schemes
Organize and supervise play and work activities
Monitor and record progress
Establish and enforce rules for behaviour and procedures for maintaining order.
Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units and projects and communicate those objectives to children.
Plan and organise class projects, field trips, visits by guests or other experiential activities and guide students in learning of those activities
Administer Continuous Assessment tests and record them to help to determine child’s development levels, needs and potentials
Prepare learning materials.

Education and Experience

A Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent in Education or a non-education degree from a government recognized Tertiary Institution.
A Post Graduate Diploma (PGDE) in Education will be an added advantage.

Renumeration
Salary is highly competitive and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
