Kennedia Consulting Limited - Our client, a leading Refining and Petrochemical (Upstream & Downstream) Company in Nigeria, is recruiting suitably qualified candidates to fill the position below:
Job Title: Process Plant Engineer (Refinery Operations)
Location: Imo
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Purpose
- To provide support for refinery operations and execute agreed (refinery) production targets – volume, quality, environmental, and effluent standards - through the optimization of business processes and assuring operational excellence in the refinery.
Core Responsibilities
- Under supervision, maximize facility performance, and reliability and ensure adherence to technical and operating policies, procedures, and standards to maintain asset integrity, and maintain plant availability by effectively reviewing operating parameters as required.
- View, enter, control, edit, and process operating data that supports daily refinery operations and distribute information to relevant parties for analysis to optimize and meet contractual agreements with stakeholders.
- Track, analyze, and improve key refinery maintenance parameters such as equipment utilization, maintenance cost, schedule compliance, etc. to improve the efficiency of the refinery.
- Contribute to the improvement of the facility's Site Operating Procedures and development of task-based procedures as a tool for training staff and manning the facility efficiently to enhance refining and operations efficiency
- Compile and complete relevant daily reports as required. Maintain log trips, by-pass logbooks, shift logbooks, etc., and provide a comprehensive handover to the incoming shift personnel to minimize accidents, which may affect the reputation of the company.
- Adhere to industry codes and standards as well as department practices and procedures.
- Understand and work, based on approved operating parameters (level, pressure, flow rat
- & temperature using appropriate tools) set points to meet process and product requirements to meet Third-party customer demands.
- Conduct quality control checks and ensure high quality of the finished product.
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relations with all stakeholders in the course of the work and make constructive contributions within their immediate team to sustain and meet targets.
- Take immediate action in case of alarm by following operating manuals/procedures. Identify and report possible anomalies and cooperate in defining corrective actions to prevent facility shutdown and improve the uptime of the facilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related Degree
- Minimum of 5 years experience preferred.
