The International Fertilizer Development Center (IFDC) is an independent non-profit organization that combines innovative research, market systems development, and strategic partnerships to identify and scale sustainable soil solutions for improved food security and livelihoods around the world.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Field Data Enumerator
Location: Abuja
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Get familiar with the data collection tools and study manual
  • Attend a one-week training on data collection and provide feedback
  • Ensure confidentiality and quality of data collected by adhering to IFPRI’s data collection policies.
  • Ensure safe storage and handling of all IFPRI’s devices and equipment.
  • Conduct interviews with pre-selected households and communities only.
  • Make re-visits to respondents who could not be located during previous visits.
  • Inform the Field Supervisor and/or project core team of progress and challenges encountered during the field activities and identify appropriate solutions.

Job Requirements

  • HND, B.Sc., M.Sc in the fields of Economics, Agricultural Economics, Development Economics, Sociology, Development Studies, or Statistics.
  • Residents of Osun State are preferred
  • Strong command of English and Yoruba.
  • Proven skills in the use of mobile devices for data collection (Survey CTO, ODK, Kobo Collect)
  • Experience in conducting quantitative survey in Southwestern part of Nigeria
