Philgold Trading Storewas established as a one-stop neighbourhood store, catering to the daily need of a wide range of clientele with the customers' satisfaction as our focal point. Philgold-Mart houses three sections: Philgold Supermarket (Grocery Store); Philgold Bakery (Bread & Pasteries); and Philgold Fashion Boutique (Clothings & Accessories).

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Description

We are looking for dedicated and customer-focused Supermarket Attendants / Cashiers to join our team at Philgold Supermarkets.
As a Supermarket Attendant, you will play a vital role in ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.
You will be responsible for assisting customers, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and supporting various operational tasks.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Provide product information and guidance to help customers make informed purchasing decisions.
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns with patience and efficiency.
Maintain a helpful and approachable demeanor to create a welcoming shopping atmosphere.
Monitor and replenish merchandise on the sales floor.
Arrange products neatly on shelves and displays.
Assist in inventory management, including restocking and conducting regular stock checks
Operate cash registers and handle customer transactions accurately.
Count and verify cash and credit card payments.
Provide receipts and change to customers as needed.
Follow cash handling procedures to prevent errors and discrepancies.

Requirements
Education:

Candidates should possess a Secondary School Leaving Certificate with 0 - 2 years relevant work experience.

Others:

Previous experience in retail, customer service, or a related field is a plus.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work well in a team and independently.
Attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling.
Physical stamina for standing, lifting, and moving merchandise.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
Basic knowledge of the products sold in the store.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
