We are currently recruiting for the position below:

Job Title: Social Media Manager

Location: Lagos, Nigeria / Remote Working

Job Summary

  • The Social Media Manager will be responsible for bringing social media initiatives to life through project management, content creation, excellent copywriting, social media monitoring, and reporting on the effectiveness of the strategy.
  • The successful candidate should have a strong and intimate knowledge of the social media landscape, strategic initiatives, content development, and writing creative copy.
  • The Social Media Manager must have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, be a self-starter.

Duties and Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing comprehensive social media strategies to achieve business goals.
  • Managing all company social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Creating engaging relevant content for social media posts, ensuring alignment with brand voice and messaging.
  • Monitoring social media trends, industry news, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Analyzing social media performance metrics and preparing regular reports to track progress and inform strategy adjustments.
  • Engaging with followers, responding to queries in a timely manner and monitoring customer reviews.
  • Suggesting and implementing new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Cosmetics, Food Technology, to integrate social media initiatives into broader campaigns and initiatives.
  • Staying up-to-date on best practices and emerging trends in social media marketing, current technologies, design tools and applications.

You should have:

  • Proven managing experience as a Social Media Manager, managing corporate social media accounts, preferably in Manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, tools, and analytics.
  • Creative thinking skills with a passion for storytelling and content creation.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to express company’s views creatively.
  • Hands on experience in content management.
  • Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video).
  • Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics.
  • Knowledge of online marketing channels.
  • Working knowledge and industry experience in planning, managing, and executing social media initiatives.

Qualifications and Competencies Required

  • Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, or Communications, or related field from accredited tertiary institution.
  • A minimum of 2 years relevant work experience working in social media or content creation space for a brand or agency.
  • Must have excellent leadership skills, with the ability to effectively motivate and inspire team members.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have excellent copywriting skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to think on feet, plan and prioritize work by deadlines.
  • Ability to organize work schedules on daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Ability to multitask and deliver desired performance outcome.
  • Ability to use creative ways to resolve problems at the workplace.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with web design and management.
  • Proficient in social media tools and Apps.
  • Must be a person of high integrity with good work ethics.
  • Demonstrable positive attitude toward work.
  • Ability to work well with team members at all levels.
