Job Title: Electrical & Instrument Engineer

Location: Abgara, Ogun

Job Description

  • We are creating a new position to enhance our maintenance operations for critical electrical and instrumentation equipment.
  • This role is pivotal in ensuring equipment reliability and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
Key Deliverable/Result 1 Year From Now:

  • Maintain all electrical and instrumentation equipment in optimal condition to minimize downtime and achieve zero breakdowns.

Key Objectives for the First 90 Days:

  • Establish and maintain records of preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Implement strategies to achieve zero breakdowns through effective preventive maintenance.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for breakdowns and implement corrective actions.

Critical Expertise, Skills, and Competencies:

  • Attention to Detail: Ability to meticulously oversee maintenance schedules and identify potential issues.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing equipment failures and conducting root cause analysis.
  • Technical Knowledge: Hands-on experience with electrical & instrumentation equipment (Motors, Panels, Sync Panels, Switchyards, Transformers, VFDs, EOT cranes, Thermocouples, RTDs, Analyzers, Level Transmitters, etc.).
  • Electrical Drawings: Proficient in interpreting and updating electrical drawings.
  • Maintenance Planning: Capability to plan and execute preventive and shutdown maintenance effectively.
  • Training and Development: Ability to train and mentor junior staff on maintenance practices.

Qualifications

  • Master's, Bachelor’s, or HND degree in Electrical & Instrumentation.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar function.
  • Experience in maintenance within a technical or industrial setting.
  • Ideal Age Range: Late 20s to late 30s.

Groups, Organizations, and Brands to Target:

  • Should target relevant industry associations and technical forums.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with electrical & instrumentation equipment (Motors, Panels, Sync Panels, Switchyards, Transformers, VFDs, EOT cranes, Thermocouples, RTDs, Analyzers, Level Transmitters, etc.).
  • Proficient in interpreting and updating electrical drawings.
  • Capable of planning and executing preventive and shutdown maintenance.
  • Able to perform breakdown analysis and root cause analysis.
  • Conduct training and development sessions for junior staff.

Salary
N200,000 - N250,000 / Month.
