Miva Open University is an education company building a new kind of university targeted at the African region. Miva is a Pan-African Distance e-Learning University that is built on a couple of beliefs: Firstly, we believe that the traditional brick-and-mortar approach to tertiary education is no longer a viable option for serving learners on the African continent.

This approach will not provide the capacity and efficacy for the people of the region. We are building a university experience that leverages excellent academic talent (wherever it is to be found) and digital technologies to create a new, fresh, more efficacious and more accessible tertiary experience. We are recruiting a talented and experienced candidate to join our dynamic marketing team in the capacity below:

Job Title: Social Media Manager

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Overall Function

As a Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our social media strategy, creating engaging content, and managing our online presence across various social media platforms.
You will play a key role in growing our brand awareness, driving traffic to our website, and fostering engagement with our target audience.
The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of social media trends, excellent communication skills, and a creative mindset.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and help to create engaging marketing content to socialize and use for social media purposes (e.g. customer videos briefs, customer case studies, blog posts, posts from analysts and customers.
Create and publish compelling content across various social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
Build and nurture social media platform-specific communities and audiences
Support SEO strategies by understanding keyword priorities and how they integrate into content marketing plans
Assist in link building campaigns in coordination with client SEO goals.
Provide analysis and recommendations as the program evolves and can be reviewed
Research and administer social media tools on a daily basis in support of clients’ social media strategy
Monitor and evaluate social media results on a daily basis in coordination with client goals and benchmarks
Communication to team and management on project development, timelines, and results
Work closely with the other team members to meet client goals
Keep pace with social media and internet marketing industry trends and developments.

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role.
Strong knowledge of social media platforms, their features, and best practices.
Proficiency in using social media management and analytics tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Creative thinking and the ability to develop engaging and innovative content.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
Ability to multitask and manage multiple social media accounts simultaneously.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of SEO and content marketing principles is a plus.

Remuneration

Salary: N500,000 - N600,000 Net Monthly
