We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Finance Officer (Kaduna Sales Area)
Location: Kaduna
Type of contract: Fixed-term position

Activities
General:
- Ensure full compliance with the 12 Golden Rules and use the Stop Card when necessary
- The main contact person of the finance division with respect to internal control issues
- Effective monitoring of fixed costs to ensure that expenditures are kept within approved budgetary provisions
- Timely rendition of monthly reports to the Territorial Accounts Unit of FAD
Cash:
- Ensure timely replenishment of Petty Cash Impress to support the day-to-day expenses of the Sales Area
- Post petty cash vouchers regularly and agree amount with the General Ledger balance
Treasury:
- Follow up on un-cleared items from bank reconciliation statements sent from Head Office
- Follow up on uncredited lodgments with the banks
- Collection of bank drafts at the designated bank
Company Creditors:
- Send contractor's invoices to head office (FAD) weekly for payment with 100 invoices processed monthly
- Send staff claims monthly to head office (ERD) for payment with 100 to 150 vouchers processed monthly
Stock & Assets:
- Reconcile (with liftings) and post NNPC invoices weekly whenever the Depots are active.
- Input stock figures for lubricant warehouse and forward same to MARD.
- Follow up on the Material Variance report and forward it to MARD
- Observe stock-taking exercises for spares, and station consumables and report thereon to FAD
- Label fixed assets and agree with fixed assets extracted from the head office
- Carry out quarterly checks on fixed assets of all stations, CSC offices, depots and warehouses and agree with fixed assets extracted from Head Office.
HSEQ:
- Committed to Total Golden Rules and Use of Stop cards
Context & Environment
- Environment of the Sales Area – Kaduna Zone, Zaria Zone, Jos Zone and Gombe Zone
- Geographical Coverage of the Sales area – Kaduna State, Plateau State, Bauchi State and Gombe State
- Financial records are maintained on full integration on-line ERP i.e. SAP HARMONIE.
Candidate Profile
- Candidates should possess a B.Sc Degree in Accounting or a related degree with two - to three years of relevant work experience.
- The job holder should be computer literate and expected to be a team player with good human relations, good communication, analytical, presentation and reconciliation skills respectively.
