We are recruiting to fill the position of:
Position : Motor Vehicle Mechanic
Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a fully qualified Motor Vehicle Mechanic for our client. For this role you need to be Fully Qualified, have a strong background within the workshop and have a good knowledge of vehicle parts.
Job Duties
Replacement of complete engine assembly
Gearbox replacement
Radiator replacement
Subframe replacement
Suspension replacement
Replacement of brake components
Repair vehicles and make routine maintenance checks to ensure that a vehicle is running perfectly
Being able to work with confidence on own initiative and as part of a team
To maintain a clean workshop
To be able to work on your own initiative
Repairing and servicing vehicle booked into the workshop
Diagnosing faults on vehicles
Carrying out warranty work internal and retail
Stripping, fitting and replacing components on vehicles
Dealing with customer queries and diagnosing faults
Advise Workshop Controller on any further faults where authority will need to be gained prior to work going ahead
Working to deadlines to ensure that work is completed on time.
Skills:
Extensive experience in vehicle repair, maintenance, testing
Comprehensive experience in mechanical repair from engine replacement to torque checks
Completing job cards and working to meet targets and deadlines.
Competent in the service and repair of vehicles using the latest diagnostic equipment.
Working to main dealer standard as part of an aftersales team.
Being able to work alone.
Having a suitable fitness level.
Being able to follow instructions.
Having excellent knowledge about motor technology.
Being methodical and organised.
Having good concentration.
Being able to work to strict deadlines.
Having strong interest in motor vehicles.
Experience working in a busy workshop environment.
Skilled in all areas of mechanical diagnostics.
Ability to make repairs on all makes and models of motor vehicles.
