POSITION : Pathologist
DESCRIPTION
- Examine microscopic samples to identify diseases or other abnormalities
- Perform autopsies when required.
- Oversee the laboratory with the responsibility of managing other physicians and lab technicians
- Communicate pathologic findings to surgeons or other physicians and assist in diagnosis, treatment and management decisions.
- Conduct research and present scientific findings.
- Conduct prescribed tests, analyse results and prepare reports based on findings.
- Examine and diagnose bodily fluids, such as blood and urine, or tissues from biopsies and Pap smears, to diagnose disease
Education
- MBBS from a recognized medical school with specialty in pathology
Requirements:
- Be currently licensed by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria with at least 5 years’ post-qualification experience
- Must stay abreast of research and development in the field of pathology and be knowledgeable about existing data in medical practices and diseases.
- Reside in Kwara State (Ilorin and its environs)
