POSITION : Air Conditioning Mechanic
DESCRIPTION
Provide skilled work in the installation, repair, operation, and maintenance of refrigeration & air conditioning (ac) equipment and systems at various stations of the estate and systems. Repairs faulty refrigeration and air conditioning equipment and plant.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and maintain refrigerators and ice machines, and chilled water supply systems.
- Clean blowers and coils, check tensions of belts and motors.
- Repairs faulty Refrigeration and Air Conditioning equipment and Plant.
- Carries out routine checks and logs of the status of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning equipment.
- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair air conditioner and other air handling units.
- Carries out preventive maintenance of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning equipment and systems
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical defects and malfunctions.
- Install, replace, or repair equipment that has been damaged.
- Ventilate equipment and controls making sure they operate efficiently and continuously.
- Perform regular maintenance work on cooling units.
- Make adjustment and do calibrations of thermostatic controls.
- Install new air-conditioning systems and equipment.
- To carryout another job assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
- Understanding of health, safety and environment regulations
- Excellent communication skills with a flexible, adaptable approach to working.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and without supervision
- Ability to interact well with superiors and subordinates professionally.
- City and Guilds qualified //vocational or technical training(Any evidence of apprenticeship training)
- 5 years relevant experience with outstanding troubleshooting and technical aptitude
- Have knowledge of standards working practices
