Job Title: WPE Comprehensive Women Centre Integration Officer

Job Overview/Summary
- The CWC Integration officer, will be responsible for management of integration activities between Reproductive health and Women protection and empowerment sector at two Compressive women centers, in Monguno, manages day to day activities and administrative oversight of the CWCs, she will as well be the contact person on integration activities at the centers and in ensuing that comprehensive women center Standard of operations are adhered by all the staff operating at the CWC, in collaboration with other IRC staff, other agencies and community members, ensure effective integration of RH/WPE program, in the communities.
- Under supervision and technical support from women protection and empowerment roving manager and reproductive health manager, the overall responsibilities of the position include team building amongst the staff, quality team, solidify internal referral at CWC level, planning and coordination of center level meetings in close collaboration with selected committee members and active participation and coordination in the women center assessments.
- To take the lead in building team members trust amongst the staff, support the training, mentoring and supervision community mobilizers and trainer.
Major Responsibilities
Supervision of RH and WPE teams:
- Supervision of WPE and RH staff for day-to-day operations at the CWCs, with technical supervision of RH midwives.
- Ensure that daily morning briefing sessions are conducted with all CWC staff and that close collaboration and open communication between WPE and RH teams is maintained.
- Foster a team spirit among WPE/RH staff that is conducive to all staff improving their skills and knowledge base.
- Build and maintain a cordial working relationship that enhances and promotes a conducive environment for psychosocial support that is culturally accepted and that promotes the well-being of survivors.
- Supervises day-to-day activities and administrative oversight (timesheets, scheduling, leave/travel requests etc.
Coordination:
- Ensure that all program activities create a neutral and supportive environment for women and girl
- Enhance survivors access to clinical care and case management at the CWC for survivors according to the WHO and IASC Guidelines.
- Ensure that compliance and guiding principles are maintained among all staff and survivors/ clients have easy access to psychosocial support and case management services in an appropriate and timely manner.
- Ensure the use of GBV and RH standardized protocols, guidelines and procedures.
Community Mobilization:
- In conjunctions with the WPE and RH teams, facilitate the planning, mobilization and training of community mobilizers and volunteers according to the work plan.
- Assist community mobilizers to plan community education and awareness-raising activities.
- In conjunction with WPE and RH Teams, facilitate the development and implementation of community action plans to prevent and respond to GBV.
- Conduct protection risk reduction activities to enhance the safety and wellbeing of women and girls.
- Oversee client engagement and community mobilization activities including eliciting ideas and information from women and girls about the kinds of activities they would like at the CWC, through Focus Group Discussions, meetings and forming committees, so that ideas can be formulated, planned and implemented with the users of the CWC.
- Liaise with RH sector staff on reproductive health issues and plan health talks on RH, including STIs and family planning as per activity plan for the CWC.
- In collaboration with the WPE Teams conduct information sessions for women and girls on GBV concepts and guiding principles.
Program Management:
- Prepare weekly plans and submit weekly reports to WPE manager, and RH Manager.
- Participate in the planning of monthly and annual work plans; and ensure effective and timely implementation of the activities
- Support data management flow and reporting from CWC on timely basis
- Conduct data review meetings on monthly (or quarterly) basis to reflect on program performance with CWC team and course correct as needed
- Directly supervises Community Mobilizers, cleaners and guards.
- Compiles monthly CWC report.
- In each LGA, the CWC-IO will divide his/her time between both CWCs and do supervision visits to community mobilization sites
- Supports RH Doctor to ensure facility level quality assurance (checklists etc.)
- Coordinates with case workers and midwives to collate lists of missing items and liaises with RH/WPE officers and managers to ensure their procurement.
- Ensures case workers and midwives submit weekly data reports to both sector M&E Officers/Assistants.
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and effective referral pathways.
Referral and Coordination:
- Establish and maintain effective referral mechanisms between the community and at the CWC and between the CWC and referral services.
- As needed, participate and represent the IRC in the Monguno SGBV/RH coordination meetings.
- Establish regular coordination with staff and other organizations to discuss emerging protection issues and develop awareness raising sessions
- Any other task designated necessary to ensure the proper functioning of the WPE/RH Program
- Ensures external coordination with implementing partners.

Job Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree/ HND qualification.
Work Experience:
- 2-5 years of experience working on gender-based violence or reproductive health related issues.
- Prior experience in management.
Demonstrated Technical Skills:
- Must maintain high degree of confidentiality
- Strong ability to organize work, meet deadlines, maintain composure, prioritize work under pressure, coordinate multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail.
- Knowledge, skills and experience in participatory methods of community development and mobilization.
- Comfortable attending and facilitating meetings and representing GBV issues.
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, creativity and flexibility
- Demonstrated Managerial/Leadership Competencies:
- Self-motivated and able to work independently where circumstances dictate
- Positive and professional attitude, including ability to lead and work well in a team setting
- Strong ability to organize work, meet deadlines, maintain composure, prioritize work under pressure, coordinate multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, creativity and flexibility.
Languages:
- Fluency in Hausa and English language, both written/spoken are required will knowledge of spoke Kanuri will be an advantages
Computer/Other Tech Requirements:
- Full professional competency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Add position-specific (e.g. accounting software, statistical software, etc.).
- Ability to Travel: 10% of time if applicable.
Work Envirnoment:
- Security level orange. The situation in Monguno, Borno remains unpredictable; there is active conflict in many parts of the country and a possibility for further expansion of the conflict and violence into other areas and other states.
