Job Title: Oil Palm Production & Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Benin, Edo
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team of production workers and maintenance technicians in the operation, maintenance, and repair of manufacturing equipment and facilities.
- Assign tasks, supervise work, and provide guidance and training to team members as needed.
- Develop and implement schedules and plans for production and maintenance projects, including maintenance, upgrades, and installations.
- Ensure that all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations, codes, and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records of all work orders and equipment maintenance.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and resolve production and maintenance issues and ensure that all work is completed on time and within budget.
- Monitor and manage inventory, supplies, and equipment to ensure adequate resources are available to complete all production and maintenance projects and work orders.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure that all work areas and equipment are safe and in compliance with regulations.
Qualification / Experience
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing production and maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience working in an Oil Mill will be an advantage.
- Demonstrated knowledge of production and maintenance processes, codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.
