Job Title: Human Resource Business Partner

Location: Awe, Oyo

Job Description

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our team in Awe, Oyo State.
  • The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in a large-scale poultry farm, possess a deep understanding of Nigeria Labour Law, and demonstrate an ownership mentality towards tasks.
  • This role requires a proactive individual who can drive HR initiatives and support our business objectives effectively.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Management:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Collaborate with senior management to understand the company’s goals and challenges, and provide strategic HR support.

Employee Relations:

  • Act as a liaison between management and employees, addressing demands, grievances, or other issues promptly and effectively.
  • Foster a positive working environment by promoting open communication and resolving conflicts.

Recruitment and Selection:

  • Oversee the entire recruitment and selection process, ensuring that staffing needs are met efficiently.
  • Develop and implement effective onboarding programs for new hires.

Performance Management:

  • Manage the performance appraisal system to drive high performance and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Provide coaching and support to managers on performance management issues.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Maintain and update the company’s pay plan and benefits program.
  • Conduct regular benchmarking to ensure competitive compensation packages.

Training and Development:

  • Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.

Legal Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with Nigeria Labour Law and other relevant regulations.
  • Stay updated on legal and regulatory changes affecting HR policies and practices.

HR Metrics and Reporting:

  • Develop and monitor HR metrics to provide insights and support decision-making.
  • Prepare regular reports for management on HR activities and performance.

Consultation and Advisory:

  • Act as a consultant to management on HR-related issues and provide expert advice.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to support business needs.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an HRBP or in a similar role within a large-scale poultry farm.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Nigeria Labour Law and HR best practices.
  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPM, CIPD, SHRM) is an added advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with an ownership mentality.
  • Demonstrated experience with HR metrics and reporting.
